Use acetone to dissolve the glue securing the dowel to the case back. The acetone dissolves the glue totally and does not harm to the metal at all. This way I have opened at least ten vintage watches leaving no trace at all. Looking at the case back the post holes are spaced in opposite pairs so any two should give you enough leverage to remove the back. The other thing to note is that the case is titanium.
