Imagine a perfumey-ness scale of 0% to 100%, where 0% is "I could walk past a literal flower bush that smelled like this" and 100% is something like Chanel No. 5, where you can definitely tell that this is a scent composed by humans & put in a bottle. I have bought several perfumes from Deconstructing Eden a while back, and I love Alyssum House, Snow White is ok, Cinnamon Girl, and Jasmine House are big no-no. Anyway, this is part 2 of my Deconstructing Eden (DE) review, part 1 is here. By now, I've tried most of my DE scents and I'm still so freaking impressed with the quality! Even if I'm not in love with a particular scent, I still think they're . One may love Chanel No. 5 for its powdery florals and fresh soap smell, while another is wrinkling their nose at its harsh chemical-and-musk tang. With this perfume, you pay your money, you take your chances—but we recommend getting a sample before you buy.
For this review, I'll review the 1 non-Fall line scent, Theodora, and 5 of the Fall scents. Thanks to DE's amazing throw and longevity, I can only review 2 scents/day at the most, so the review's going slow. I admire Deconstructing Eden for being able to make a more complex lavender scent that definitely has a power to it meant to symbolize the woman it's named after. This is also one of the most realistic lavenders I've ever really smelled - think raw-cut-basket of lavender rather than aromatherapy-mist lavender.
